BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County will have its own Saturday morning. This comes amid dozens being arrested in Los Angeles, following protests against federal immigrant enforcement. Our local “No Kings” protest will happen at the Liberty Bell, in downtown Bakersfield. As of Friday afternoon, at least 800 people are expected to fill up the space. In light of the Los Angeles anti-ICE protests hitting so close to home, Kern County organizers are strongly urging peace for those attending the protest here in town.
